A&E Crime Central, Lifetime Movie Club, and History Vault Support SharePlay

A&E Television Networks has updated its three apps to support SharePlay, these apps are A&E Crime Central, Lifetime Movie Club and HISTORY Vault – spotted by our David Becker. SharePlay has expanded to many streaming services and apps since its debut on iOS 15.

Last Thursday, A&E Television Networks Mobile updated all three streaming apps to version 7.3.0 which supports SharePlay, iOS 15 FaceTime functionality for joint remote streaming.

“Added SharePlay functionality so you can now watch with friends via FaceTime!” is the rating on each of the three apps. This is a major step forward for A&E Crime Center, Lifetime Film Cluband HISTORY Vault. Allowing subscribers to virtually enjoy streaming content on each of the apps with friends.

Launched in February 2020, A&E Crime Central is a streaming service that offers 900 crime series and specials, including some licensed to Peacock. Lifetime Movie Club is a streaming service that hosts 2,000 content titles produced by the company. Finally, HISTORY Vault is the same network’s video-on-demand version, featuring 2,000 documents and specials from across history.

The previous major streaming service to add SharePlay support was Hulu earlier this month. You can see our full list of apps that currently have it too.
