Norwich’s live music club, the Strange Brew Pub, is an area highlight

Jason Wallace was in his car just over nine years ago, trying to figure out what to call his soon-to-open live music club. He wanted a name that would reflect the eclectic nature of the bands he envisioned playing there – an “all are welcome” approach – not to mention the connoisseur’s range of craft beers that would be available there.

When Cream came to radio doing the song “Strange Brew”, Wallace pounced.

Almost a decade later, the Strange Brew Pub is not only Norwich’s best live music venue, it’s one of the best in the whole region. The sound system and production facilities are excellent. The staff is happy to commit to the cause. Trivial theme nights, album tribute nights, quirky music showcases and excellent local and touring bands of all styles ensure The Brew can be quirky, but beautifully.

Oh, and Wallace, who handles live entertainment for the annual Rose Festival, does a great job in that capacity, too.
