XANDER: HELLO. THEY ARE SO HAPPY TO WELCOME PEOPLE INTO THE PUBLIC FOR THEIR FIRST PUBLIC SHOW SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE PANDEMIC. RIGHT NOW WE GET A PREVIEW, BUT I WILL TALK WITH THE STAGE DIRECTOR. CAN YOU TELL ME A LITTLE ABOUT WHAT HE LOVED TO PUT THE SHOW AND PREPARE TO PUT IT. >> THIS WAS DIFFERENT FROM MOST SHOWS, OTHER SHOWS WE HAD LESS FIGHTS WITH COVID RESTRICTIONS AND THINGS LIKE THAT. RIGHT NOW WE ARE BRINGING THE FINAL TOUCH TO PREPARE AND ENSURE EVERYTHING IS SR FOR EVERYBODY. ALEX: NOBODY IS ON STAGE BUT SOMETHING HAPPENS BEHIND THE SCENES. >> AVERY MAKES A QUICK CHANGE. SHE IS PREPARING TO LEAVE THE ABBEY FOR THE FIRST TIME. ALEX: IS THIS THE FIRST TIME YOU HAVE GOT EVERYTHING WORK? REHEARSAL FOR THE SHOW? >> WE HAD A GENERAL REHEARSAL ONCE, BUT WE HAVE HAD TWO COSTUME CHANGES SINCE THEN, AND IT LOOKS SUCCESSFUL. Scottsburg Theater Club welcomes audiences again for the first time since the pandemic

The Scottsburg High School Drama Club is once again welcoming an audience for the first time since the pandemic. The theater club is launching its spring musical, “The Sound of Music” on Friday. One of their previous productions was canceled due to the pandemic, another was intended for exclusively family audiences. The cast have been working on the show since January while practicing safety measures recommended by the local health department. The students are delighted to welcome an audience again, especially the eight seniors on the show. Performances are Friday and Saturday at 6:30 pm and Sunday at 2:30 pm Tickets are $ 10 and are available online here.
