Zhenni Li-Cohen will perform at the Delaware Valley Music Club Spring Concert on May 5 at High View Farm in Pipersville.
A prominent Steinway artist, represented by Astral Artists, Li-Cohen has won rave reviews for her performances at Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, and the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. She has achieved worldwide recognition as the winner of the first New York Concert Artists World Audition in 2017, as well as numerous piano competitions in France, Norway and Russia. The program she will play at the music club‘s spring concert, in addition to music by Beethoven and JS Bach, will include three preludes by Sergei Bortkiewicz, a Ukrainian-Polish Romantic composer of the late 19th century, whose life was constantly plagued by the horrors of war. She is working on a recording of this composer’s work with the Steinway & Sons label, entitled “A Letter”.
After the concert, club members and guests will have the opportunity to meet the artist and enjoy individually wrapped refreshments.
Admission is free for club members; with a $15 fee for guests and the general public.
