“The Fault in Our Stars” – Estes Park Trail-Gazette

‘The Fault in Our Stars’ is John Green’s international young adult bestseller that tells the story of 16-year-old Hazel, who was diagnosed with lung cancer and attends a cancer support group. There she meets Augustus Walters, 17 years old, charming and full of spirit, suffering from a rare form of bone cancer, but recently on the way to disappearance. The two embark on a roller coaster of emotions, between love, sadness and romance, while traveling through Europe in search of the author of their favorite book, in a story that is both humorous and heartbreaking.

Teenagers are invited to “Book vs. This month’s Movie Club” at the library to discuss the book, then watch the 2014 feature film “The Fault in Our Stars” on the big screen (the film is rated PG-13). The program takes place at the Library on Saturday, May 28 at 12:30 p.m. Registration is now open.

A limited number of books are available for participants, which can be reserved and picked up in advance. Participants will also have the opportunity to sign up for the Summer Reading Program, offering prizes all summer long.

Complimentary snacks and refreshments will be available during the film. The “Book vs. Movie Club” is a monthly program, exploring the differences and similarities shared by popular books and movies of the same name. Look for other “Book vs. Film” events on the last Saturday of each month.

Attendees can register now at estesvalleylibrary.org and sign up for an advance copy of the book.
